In pop-up weddings

If you are planning on eloping or having a pop-up wedding in Central Park, one of the first things you need to decide is where to have your ceremony.  Don’t worry, we have you covered.  Below you will find the best places to elope in Central Park.  Any of these locations are available with our Central Park Elopement Package here.

There are so many gorgeous locations in Central Park where you can hold your elopement or pop-up wedding throughout Central Park. If you are planning on getting married in Central Park, we have created a list of the top elopement/pop-up wedding locations for you to consider:

  • BOW BRIDGE

Bow Bridge is a location in the park that is often requested.  The architecture is stunning and the views of the water and the city are simply beautiful.  You really can’t get more “New York” than getting married on Bow Bridge.  One thing to be aware of though is that even with a permit, you cannot close off the bridge to the public.  Choose an early morning time to have the best chances that it will be uncrowded for your ceremony.  See our gorgeous couple’s photo below who purchased our Central Park Classic package and chose Bow Bridge as the ceremony location.

  • GAPSTOW BRIDGE

Gapstow bridge is a unique wedding location in the park.  The bridge itself looks like it’s from a medieval European era with the added allure of the city buildings in the background.  You could have your ceremony on the bridge or with the bridge in the background.

  • LADIES PAVILION

We love Ladies Pavilion because it is a covered gazebo right on the lake.  Check out Mika and Elizabeth’s pop-up wedding in Ladies Pavilion below.

  • THE MALL

This is the famous tree-lined walkway inside the park where many movies have been filmed.  It is the perfect place to have a small ceremony.

  • COP COT

This historical landmark in Central Park is the perfect wedding ceremony location. In the summer, it is covered in green, lush foliage and in the fall, it looks rustic and warm.  Our lovely bride below purchased our Central Park Classic package and had a stunning ceremony there.

  • GOTHIC BRIDGE

A bridge that not too many people know about is Gothic Bridge on 94th Street.  It has such unique architecture, is rarely busy, and boasts lush foliage and a view of the city.  If you are looking for an area away from the hustle bustle, this could be a great location for an elopement.

  • BETHESDA TERRACE

This is a good location to consider for your ceremony, especially in the colder months.  The inside of the terrace is very beautiful and then of course, it is covered in the event it rains.

  • THE RAMBLE

If you want to be immersed in nature, consider having your pop-up wedding in The Rambles.  Not a lot of people know about this area since it is off the beaten path, so you are more likely to have some privacy there.

  • CENTRAL PARK BOULDER

This is a gorgeous boulder that is flat enough that you can stand on for your ceremony should you dare. It gives you a boost so that you can stand tall in the park and have the beautiful skyline behind you.  If nothing else, be sure to grab a photo here.

  • CATS ROCK

This is another area in Central Park that is not really known by tourists.  It gives you an amazing view of the skyline so if you want a view of the Manhattan skyline in the background when you exchange your vows, this could be a great option.  This location is best for a true elopement.

  • WAGNER COVE

Wagner Cove is a small gazebo that is the perfect pop-up wedding location.  It is secluded and down a quiet little path.  See Candace and Mike’s pop-up wedding at this location below.  It is no wonder why this spot if on our list of Best Places To Elope in Central Park.

  • BELVEDERE CASTLE

We get a lot of requests  for ceremonies at the castle.  It can be a bit busy and is smaller than you might expect.  However, they do have an adorable gazebo there that you can have your ceremony in.

  • VIEWS OF THE BRIDGE

If saying “I Do” on the Bow Bridge seems too cliche, consider having your ceremony with the view of one of the iconic bridges in the background.  Check out our couple below that used our Central Park Classic package to do just that.

  • CHERRY HILL

This is a great ceremony location if you are looking for a sprawling grassy area with a view of Bow Bridge, the lake, and the Manhattan skyline.  Just know that it can get very busy so an early morning ceremony is best.

  • SHAKESPEARE GARDEN

Shakespeare Garden is lovely and has a few ceremony spots.  The most popular ceremony location is the large platform area.  Your pop-up wedding pictures will have a true garden feel.  See photos from one of our couples who hired us to plan their charming pop-up wedding at this location.

  • BETHESDA FOUNTAIN

Another icon in the park is the Bethesda Fountain. You can exchange your vows with the terrace and skyline behind you or you can even have your ceremony with the lake in the background.
